My Word for 2025 Is...

What if the best moments in life weren’t something you had to earn but were simply meant to be experienced? That question has been on my mind as we edge closer to 2025, inspired by a FaceTime conversation with my husband from the Italian Alps.

“A perfect day of skiing is better than sex,” he declared, eyes sparkling with childlike joy as he sat on a chairlift with snow-capped peaks behind him. 🏔️ I should’ve been offended, but honestly? I get it.

There’s something magical about finding that rhythm—that flow state where time ceases to exist and it’s just you, fully present with what you’re doing.

What is a Flow State?

Flow states are those rare, precious moments when you lose track of time and feel completely connected to the present. For my husband, it’s skiing. For me, it’s dancing with friends 🕺 or witnessing transformation unfold in my programs. For you, it might be:

  • Getting lost in a new city, stumbling into a shop playing a song that transports you back in time 🔄.

  • Watching your kids play, marveling at their boundless imagination 🌈.

  • Creating something with your hands, letting your heart guide your work 💅.

These moments aren’t just accidental—they’re clues to how we’re meant to live, work, and create. But we’ve been taught that joy, ease, and presence are things we need to earn, and that mindset robs us of the freedom to just be.

Healing Scarcity Narratives

I’ve spent much of this holiday season reflecting on abundance and scarcity while traveling in Spain with my mom 🇪🇸. Our relationship has been a journey of healing, and as I watch her sneak sandwiches from our luxury hotel’s breakfast buffet—a habit from her years of living in poverty—I’m reminded of how deeply scarcity narratives can run.

These patterns can show up in different ways:

  • Feeling guilty for resting instead of “being productive” ⌛.

  • Believing that joy must be earned through hard work 🚫.

  • Struggling to trust that what you have is enough ❤️.

Unlearning these beliefs isn’t easy. For me, it’s required years of self-work and the courage to embrace my own version of “enoughness.” But it’s the most important work I’ve ever done—more than any business milestone or program launch.

Letting Go of Productivity Obsession

This year, I decided to stop white-knuckling my way through life and business. I let go of obsessing over metrics, revenue goals, and constant productivity. The surprising result? Everything started to flow 🌊.

The months I thought would be slow turned out to be some of the most abundant. Incredible small businesses found their way into my program. Creativity poured out of me, not because I forced it, but because I allowed myself to be present and inspired 😌.

Hitting revenue targets never silenced the anxious voice in my head. Instead, the goals just moved further away. I realized I wasn’t chasing success; I was chasing validation. And once I let that go, I found freedom—the freedom to prioritize what truly lights me up 🚀.

Building Your Business Around Flow in 2025

As we enter 2025, I’m inviting you to rethink what success looks like. Instead of setting rigid goals, consider building your life and business around the moments that make time disappear. Here’s how to start:

  1. Identify Your Flow State: When do you feel most alive and present? Write it down 🖋️.

  2. Create Space for Magic: Let go of rigid schedules and make room for inspiration to strike 🎫.

  3. Redefine Success: Focus on the impact, connections, and transformations that can’t be measured in a spreadsheet 📊.

Your Permission Slip for More Flow

We’ve been conditioned to believe that flow is indulgent, but it’s not. It’s the most natural way to live, work, and create. This is your permission slip to:

  • Chase the moments that light you up ✨.

  • Build your business around ease and inspiration 🔥.

  • Trust that success doesn’t have to come from force 🚫.

Let’s make 2025 the year of flow—where we measure success not by how many boxes we check, but by how often we lose track of time doing what we love ❤️.

With love and excitement for the year ahead,

Gloria
